CUSPEA（China-U.S. Physics Examination and Application）项目是中国在李政道教授的创议和帮助下向美国派遣留学生的一项措施。CUSPEA项目经试点后正式执行，于1989年宣告结束。在CUSPEA计划实行的十多年中有九百多名年轻学子出国深造。目前，CUSPEA学者都已陆续完成学业并从事理论物理、实验物理、材料科学、信息科学、生命科学等多方面的研究，或活跃在高科技企业、金融和经济、法律等很多领域。
